Stryhns Gruppen is a modern food house, who work with contemporary everyday food – rooted in Danish food culture. Stryhns produces and market the brands Stryhn’s leverpostej, Graasten Salater, remoulade and dressings, Langelænder pølser, K-Salat, Jensens Køkken saucer and dressings and Royal leverpostej. Graasten Salater, which is owned by Stryhns Gruppen, produces dressings and sandwich spreads.

Graasten Salater is expanding their production facilities, which include new process equipment based on ultra hygiene solutions that are fully CIP and controllable. The project, which is named “Graasten Go Green”, consists of a production extension of approx. 600 m2 that increases the production with over 8% and a total CapEx of DKK. 50 mio. The project creates an improved flow for the employees, raw materials and finished goods management and is being built in four steps, which must be completed in 2025.

“We are not only expanding the production and building a new facility, but we also get our goods into closed bottles from tanks, so we save time and improve both the environment and working environment, because we avoid a lot of pushs and lifts,” says the Factory Manager Torben Holm Pedersen.

Proces Engineering delivers consulting services to Graasten Salater and their investment project regarding the process plant in connection with capacity expansion and improvement of the process plant solution.

The project is carried out from Process Engineering’s Food & Biotech sector and the Aarhus department. The site is located in Graasten, where Stryhns Gruppen has their factory. We work as Graasten Salater’s internal process equipment specialist on the process plant.

We carry out the project as an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contract. This gives a financial and timewise saving, and at the same time it ensures consultant and process responsibility from consultants and subcontractors.
