With respect for the environment and customer needs, Sika Footwear has developed the ENERGY KNIT LACE.
In a world where sustainability is a necessary commitment, Sika Footwear has introduced a new innovative sneaker: Energy Knit Lace.
The work shoe sets new standards for environmentally friendly footwear. It features a sustainable construction, incorporating several new technologies. The combination of sustainable construction and the latest technologies ensures no compromise on style, comfort, or shock absorption.
The sustainable element of the sneaker lies in its knitted upper. It's made from materials that have achieved Global Recycle Standards (GRS) certification. This means that at least 50% of the polyester used in the upper construction comes from recycled materials, contributing to reducing environmental impact.
In addition to the sustainable upper, the sneaker is constructed with a range of new technologies to ensure optimal conditions for feet during long days in the restaurant. These technologies include:
SIKA BubbleTech – World-class shock absorption
The soft EVA foam midsole makes the shoe flexible, lightweight, and especially shock-absorbing. The technology behind the unique shock absorption, SIKA BubbleTech, consists of air bubbles in the midsole and outsole. The energy from each step is returned, providing 29.6%* better shock absorption than comparable shoes without this technology.
SIKA HexaGrip – 360° slip resistance
The SIKA HexaGrip technology ensures optimal slip-resistant properties with a sole pattern consisting of many hexagons contributing to 360° slip resistance. SIKA HexaGrip ensures that liquids are easily directed away from the sole, providing better traction on smooth or oily kitchen floors.
Certified to the latest standard
The work shoes in the Energy series are certified to the latest standard EN ISO 20347:2022. They are all PVC-free, ESD-approved, and available in sizes 35 to 48.
