FUTURE FOOD LAB

Let's go explore the food lab of the future

A NEW INNOVATION AREA

At Future Food Lab in Hall F, you can explore both known and unknown solutions that will define the food lab of the future.

In the area you have the opportunity to assess technologies, prototypes, and gain insight into the exhibitor's exciting products and solutions. Innovation Lab facilitates tours and presentations that provide insight into the future of the food world, with examples such as self-driving supermarkets and home production systems for food.

Some of the aspects being explored in the Future Food Lab area are also the impact of AI and XR technologies on the functions of the food lab of the future and the possibility that functions from an entire food lab can be found in a sensor-packed microchip.

Look forward to exploring and learn more about the challenges that the food lab of the future will be able to solve.

More information regarding the different events will follow soon.

The future of food laboratories are explored with questions such as:

  • How can smart tools support food development?
  • What does artificial intelligence and automation mean for production?
  • How do innovative technologies help both in the workplace and in home laboratories?
  • How do the frameworks facilitate collaboration with customers on new innovative solutions?

Programme for Future Food Lab

Here you can get an overview of the different events taking place in Future Food Lab area at FoodTech. It all takes place in hall F.

Tuesday 1 October

We take a look inside the world's development houses and explore a future with new food technologies.

  • How advanced are drone deliveries, self-driving food deliveries, and automated production facilities?
  • When will the production of dairy products and beer become as common as coffee machines in households?
  • Do collective, hyperlocal food productions have a future?
  • And what technologies will shape the food labs of the future?

We are given a tour of the brave new food future by Innovation Lab CEO and co-founder, Mads Thimmer.

Based on four main trends, Innovation Lab showcases the future of food labs.

  • What does the advanced home lab look like?
  • What happens when food labs become sensor-based and portable?
  • What future tools can employees in tomorrow's food labs look forward to?
  • And how do AI and automation impact our food labs?

See for yourself on a tour of the Future Food Lab exhibition.

EXPERIENCE A
DEMONSTRATION
OF NEW
TECHNOLOGICAL
SOLUTIONS

FROMAGGIO

Experience the world’s first home dairy which will enable you to produce any range of cheese in a single device. You order the cheese cultures, add the required milk, and the machine does the rest. Simple mozzarella only takes a few hours, a full provolone or emmenthal takes considerably longer - up to a week.

IGULU

Experience one of the first automated beer brewer to use at home at FoodTech. It lets you invite guests for a home brew with no prior expertise - and without having to enroll the family bathtub in the beer experiments. It is seemingly as simple as making a jug of coffee - albeit considerably longer brew time.
