SEW-EURODRIVE A/S was founded in 1984 as a subsidiary of SEW-EURODRIVE GmbH, Germany. Based on the group's decentralized business model and a focus on creating value close to the customers, an assembly factory for geared motors was built in the industrial area near Greve. Since then, the company has grown and today it has approx. 65 employees spread over the original location in Greve as well as a newer service center in Vejle, which opened in 2017.
SEW's products are typically used for packaging machines, conveyor belts at airports, rides, filling systems, hoists/cranes. In short - all processes that require movement. The customers are both machine builders and end-user companies - e.g. logistics and high storage facilities as well as industrial and food companies.
With SEW's unique module system and a component stock of approx. 4,000 different parts, more than 50 million gear motor combinations can be assembled. This allows the company to offer one hundred percent customer-specific solutions with short delivery times.
