At Struer Brød, ventilation is an important part of the daily production environment. For the Dry Mixing Room and Mixing Room, NTEK has delivered a new ventilation system that both provides the necessary air supply and maintains a stable air balance in the two production areas.
The process extraction in the rooms can create negative pressure of up to 8,000 m³/h. The extracted air therefore needs to be replaced with an equivalent volume of supply air to maintain the correct balance and ensure suitable conditions for production.
Demand-controlled ventilation
To adapt the ventilation to the actual conditions, both rooms are equipped with sensors that measure temperature and humidity. This allows the ventilation to be demand-controlled according to the current conditions in each room.
This is particularly relevant during cleaning, when humidity levels can increase significantly. The system can increase ventilation when needed, helping the rooms dry out more quickly before production resumes.
Designed for the individual production areas
Air is supplied to the Mixing Room through three air socks, while the Dry Mixing Room receives air through two supply nozzles. This allows the air supply to be adapted to the specific conditions in each room.
The new system has a total capacity of 10,000 m³/h and is designed to support both the process extraction and the required air balance throughout the production areas.
The system is the fifth ventilation system NTEK has delivered to Struer Brød – another project based on close collaboration and a solution tailored to the specific production environment.
