Optimised ventilation at Struer Brød
Struer Brød, part of the ORKLA Group, has taken the next step in optimising its production with a new ventilation system for the mixing and mixer rooms.
The new system has been installed to improve the indoor climate while maintaining stable hygiene conditions in the production areas. The ventilation is adapted to the specific conditions in the rooms and is demand-controlled based on both temperature and humidity.
Demand-controlled ventilation
The system automatically regulates ventilation according to the current conditions in the production areas. This means that ventilation only operates to the extent required, rather than running at a constant airflow.
The demand-controlled operation helps reduce energy consumption while maintaining the right conditions in the mixing and mixer rooms.
Documented results and energy grant
To document the effect of the project, measurements were carried out both before and after installation. This makes it possible to document changes in the system's operation and energy consumption.
An energy grant was also obtained for the project as part of the investment in the new solution.
The project was carried out in close dialogue with Struer Brød, with Production Manager Martin Høgh Lyngsø serving as NTEK's day-to-day contact throughout the project.
