Toms Gruppen A/S, one of Denmark’s leading chocolate and confectionery manufacturers, has achieved significant savings in both personnel hours and budget by centralising the procurement of 50 different ingredients with one supplier, Procudan.
This strategic collaboration has enabled Toms to streamline its procurement process, reduce complexity and improve production efficiency.
- Our primary expectations were to save time to free up resources for tasks of greater economic importance and save money by outsourcing the procurement of peripheral products to others with more experience and volume. Both have been achieved, says Andreas Hansen of Toms Gruppen.
- By centralising procurement with Procudan, Toms has not only reduced the time spent on administration and coordination but also achieved financial benefits through simplified processes and stronger supplier agreements. It has also been an advantage that Procudan is represented in both Denmark and Sweden, where most of Toms Gruppen’s production takes place.
