Short on space for more steam?

arrow_backTo the overview

21 October 2026 | Weiss ApS

When a food processing company needs to install additional steam capacity, space within existing buildings can be a challenge. A containerised steam installation can be an alternative to constructing or modifying a traditional boiler room.

A container solution can accommodate several components in one installation, such as a steam generator, water treatment equipment, pumps and control systems. Much of the assembly can be completed before delivery, potentially reducing the amount of installation work required on site.

This type of solution may be relevant when expanding production, modernising existing facilities or establishing a steam supply at a new location.

Before selecting a container solution, the company should assess its steam requirements, site access, foundations, utility supplies, ventilation and distance to the production equipment. Pipe routing and positioning affect both installation costs and heat losses.

Weiss ApS offers containerised steam solutions from CERTUSS, which can be configured to meet the company's capacity requirements and the physical constraints of the installation site.
