Custom-moulded hearing protection with detectability for the food industry

Audiovox specialises in individually fitted hearing protection and has protected hearing in noisy working environments since 2003. At FoodTech 2026 in Herning on 27-29 October, we present dB-Shield®, our custom-moulded hearing protection for industry, at stand J7302.

For the food industry, the solutions are available with detectability. This makes it possible to combine effective hearing protection with food safety requirements in packing halls, bottling lines and production areas.

The individually manufactured earplugs are produced using 3D technology from an impression of each employee's ear and can be fitted with non-linear noise filters that attenuate harmful industrial noise while speech, alarms and other important signals remain audible. They are made from soft medical-grade silicone and certified to EN 352-2:2002 and EU Regulation 2016/425. At a noise exposure of 85 dB(A), hearing protection is a legal requirement under Danish working environment rules, and custom-moulded earplugs solve the practical problem that disposable plugs are often seated incorrectly or removed during the day.

At the stand you can see dB-Shield® Work and dB-Shield® COM IT with Bluetooth communication and detectability, developed for production environments where employees need both protection and the ability to talk to each other.
