Focus on energy-saving filtration

Northern Europe's only manufacturer of hygienic fully automated liquid filters is once again present at Northern Europe's largest trade fair for food technology. HiFlux Filtration A/S serves all branches of the food industry with self-cleaning filter solutions, that minimize human interference and enhance food safety. At FoodTech 2022, HiFlux Filtration A/S will focus on the energy-saving benefits of fully automatic filtration and present a number of innovative solutions. In a way, the fact that FoodTech is taking place in the midst of a galloping energy crisis makes the trade fair even more relevant. In recent years, the filter manufacturer has invested heavily in technological tools to improve the filter flow in the self-cleaning automatic filters. The new Abacus PLC controller has thus been developed on the basis of a large amount of data from already commissioned installations combined with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis to calculate fluid flows. The technology will help HiFlux Filtration achieve its green ambitions, and just as importantly, translate into significant energy savings for its many customers at home and abroad. Sales Director Martin Holgaard makes no secret of the fact, that the company is very much looking forward to meeting the Danish food industry, after having participated in several foreign trade fairs this year.
"It's great to be on home ground and we have a lot to present at FoodTech. It's the perfect place to showcase our energy-efficient liquid filtration solutions. Especially as times are at the moment. Our partners around the world clearly feel that there is great interest in new optimisation possibilities in the food industry," says Martin Holgaard, adding that the European dairy sector is one of the biggest buyers of the fully automatic Auto-line liquid filters, but also producers of chocolate, eggs and coffee have customised filter solutions designed in Hedensted. The customisation of each filter is the key to successful and cost-reducing filtration.
"The viscosity of different products varies greatly. Filtering processed cheese requires a completely different filter design than coffee extract, but the desire for an optimised process is the same all round," emphasises Martin Holgaard.
Optimised output
The self-cleaning Auto-line liquid filters operate in a closed system that eliminates any human contact. The new Abacus PLC controller for differential pressure control is specifically designed to reduce customer energy consumption and optimise uptime. The continuous filter cleaning process typically delivers energy savings of over 20 percent, and Martin Holgaard and the team of sales engineers are looking forward to sharing more about this at FoodTech.
"In Denmark, there is a particularly strong interest in optimising the use of resources and eliminating costly manual processes. We are a pioneering country when it comes to the green transition, and this is fully in line with the initiatives we have launched on the product side. We are very much looking forward to presenting our energy efficient filter solutions in Herning", concludes Martin Holgaard.
HiFlux Filtration will be exhibiting in Hall J at stand 7310.
