Wastewater as a source for drinking water and green energy

Waterleau is a global provider of circular water use in dairy manufacturing, potato processing and brewery industry. These industries can increase the water and energy efficiency by recovering process water and biogas from wastewater. Cases studies from all three sectors will prove the numbers that can be reached in practice: a brewery aiming for 1,2 hl/hl beer, a drinking yoghurt producer to 1 m³/ton product and a potato processor recovering 5 MW thermal energy. As a perspective for the future, the zero liquid discharge (ZLD) and even water positive goals will be explained. These goals will be mirrored to the challenges of specific constraints at the factory site level.
