Behind the dry numbers. What makes an ESG report valid
Water & Energy StageEnglish
The new CSRD and the emerging European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) requirements take sustainability reporting to a new level. The long-term goal is segregating companies between good and less good performers and ensure stakeholders get adequate information for decision making.
Former reporting frameworks had a focus on business risks and opportunities, but the impacts are the center piece in the new directive. A number is only a number if you don’t know what lies behind. The devil is in the detail and validity depends on the processes creating the report as well as assumptions, methodology, criteria, and other parameters.
The speakers will in the presentation touch upon what lies behind a trustworthy report and share insights and experience from the view of a certifying body.
